三相異步電機測試臺的損耗一般可分為定子銅損、轉子鋁(銅)耗、鐵耗、風摩損和雜散損耗。雜散損耗也可理解為除三相異步電機測試臺的定子銅損、轉子鋁(銅)損、鐵損和風摩損之外,無法定量計算的一部分損耗。雜散損耗值偏大,不僅使電機的效率下降,也會造成電機的溫升升高。因此,對雜散損耗不應小覷。
雜散損耗產生的原因比較復雜,一般雜散損耗的大小與電動機的設計參數、加工工業質量、裝配質量等因素有關。雜散損耗值的測量是否準備與測量方法密切相關。雜散損耗尚無法準確計算,20世紀70年代在組織開展Y系列三相異步電機測試臺全國統一設計時,推薦2極電機的雜散損耗值為輸出功率的2.5%,4極電機的雜散損耗值為輸出功率2.0%,6極電機的雜散損耗值為輸出功率1.5%,8極電機的雜散損耗值為輸出功率1.0%。上述推薦值有一定的合理性,但與電動機的實際情況還有些差異。由于雜散損耗值的準確測量較困難,隨著改革開放后我國三相異步電動的大量出口,為與國際交流與互換的方便,在考核三相異步電動機的效率時,統一將雜散損耗值改為按輸入功率的0.5%計算。為此,以后的Y系列、Y2系列、Y3系列三相異步電動機和YX3系列高效率三相異步電動機也都按此考慮。
